Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Urologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity at a community hospital in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. This position is focused exclusively on 24-hour weekend inpatient and emergency department call coverage.
The provider will support general urology needs, including inpatient consultations and emergency cases. There is no scheduled clinic responsibility for this assignment.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage inpatient and emergency department urology patients.
Perform urology consultations and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
Manage acute and general urologic conditions within the provider's scope of practice.
Provide inpatient urology services as needed during call.
Respond to urgent and emergent urologic cases.
Collaborate with hospital physicians and clinical staff.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR.
Provide safe, evidence-based patient care throughout the assignment.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
Pennsylvania license or IMLC LOQ
DEA required
Minimum experience: 5 years preferred/required per facility criteria
Active clinical experience in general urology
Clean professional/credentialing history preferred
Willingness to provide weekend and holiday call coverage
Working Hours
Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
Alternative schedule may be considered: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
Current known coverage dates:
October 9, 2026 @ 7:00 AM – October 12, 2026 @ 7:00 AM
November 20, 2026 @ 7:00 AM – November 23, 2026 @ 7:00 AM
Approximately 2 weekends per month
Holiday coverage is required
No scheduled clinic shifts
