Job description
We are seeking Urologists for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Gettysburg, PA. This position offers a combination of outpatient clinic, OR, procedures, and daytime hospital coverage.
The ideal candidate will have experience in general urology and be comfortable providing care across the clinic and hospital settings. New graduates will also be considered.
There is no nighttime or weekend call associated with this opportunity.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage patients in the outpatient urology clinic.
Perform urologic consultations and hospital rounding.
Participate in OR cases and urologic procedures.
Perform ureteroscopies and other procedures within the physician's scope of practice.
Evaluate and treat common adult urologic conditions.
Manage inpatient and outpatient urology cases.
Respond to daytime hospital consultations.
Occasionally see add-on clinic patients while covering hospital daytime responsibilities.
Maintain accurate patient documentation in EPIC EMR.
Collaborate with medical assistants, nursing staff, surgical scheduling, and other clinical personnel.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
Active Pennsylvania medical license OR IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
DEA required
Minimum 3 years of experience preferred
New graduates will be considered
Must have clinical experience representative of the requested privileges
Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
Working Hours
8:00 AM–5:00 PM
1-hour unpaid lunch
No nighttime call
No weekend call
