We are seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urology Physicians for an ongoing locum opportunity in York, Pennsylvania. This position offers a combination of outpatient clinic, operating room, and 24-hour call coverage. The physician will care for adult urology patients, perform office and surgical procedures, and provide emergency urologic care during call coverage. The practice includes access to robotic surgery and a broad range of urologic procedures.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform office visits, consultations, and follow-up care.
• Perform cystoscopy, stent procedures, prostate procedures, and other urologic interventions.
• Perform ureteroscopy, lithotripsy, vasectomy, orchiopexy, and other procedures within scope of practice.
• Participate in operating room cases and surgical procedures.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage as scheduled.
• Evaluate and treat urgent and emergency urologic conditions during call.
• Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
• Utilize robotic surgical capabilities when applicable to the physician's practice.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR.
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License or IMLC Letter of Qualification required.
• Current DEA registration required.
• Minimum 1 year of Urology experience required.
• Experience with general urology procedures and inpatient/emergency call coverage.
• Ability to provide comprehensive outpatient and surgical urology care.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
Working Hours
• 24-hour call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM as scheduled.
• Ongoing coverage with full-week assignments available.
• September: September 14, 7:00 AM – September 21, 7:00 AM (offer out).
• November: Clinic coverage November 2–6, 23–25, 27, and 30; additional call coverage available.
• December: Clinic coverage December 1–4, 21–23, and 28–31; additional call coverage available.
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days, with temporary privileges available for clean files.
