We are seeking a Board-Certified Urologist for a 26-week locum assignment in Potsdam, New York. This opportunity offers primarily outpatient coverage with inpatient consultations, procedures, post-operative rounding, and optional 24-hour call coverage. Full-time coverage is preferred, though two providers working approximately two weeks per month each may also be considered.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct inpatient consultations and post-operative rounding as needed.
• Perform bread-and-butter urology procedures within the scope of privileges.
• Provide coverage in the clinic Monday–Friday.
• Participate in OR coverage, with an OR block typically from 7:30 AM–3:00 PM.
• Manage approximately 20 patients per provider per day.
• Provide care for adult patients (18+).
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage from 7:00 AM–7:00 AM, based on provider availability.
• Evaluate and manage patients presenting with general urologic conditions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with clinical and surgical staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Urology in the United States required.
• Active New York Medical License required.
• DEA required.
• BLS certification required.
• Epic experience required.
• Experience providing general/bread-and-butter Urology services.
• Must be comfortable with outpatient care, inpatient consultations, procedures, and post-operative rounding.
• Clean credentialing file preferred.
• Work history must be up to date with no gaps of 30+ days.
• Physician statement required for any malpractice claims, whether dismissed or not.
Working Hours
• Assignment Duration: 26 weeks
• Standard Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Clinic Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Call: 24-hour coverage, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM, based on provider availability.
• Full-time coverage preferred.
• Two providers working approximately 2 weeks/month each may be considered.
• OR coverage typically 7:30 AM–3:00 PM.
