We are seeking a Urologist for a locum tenens opportunity providing inpatient and outpatient urology services. The role includes clinic coverage, scheduled OR time, and approximately 7 days of unrestricted call per month.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient Urology coverage.
• See approximately 18 patients per day.
• Provide outpatient clinic care Monday–Friday.
• Perform scheduled surgical cases in the operating room.
• Provide approximately 7 days of 24-hour call per month.
• During call weeks, typically work approximately 3 clinic days, 1 OR day, and 7 days of call.
• When not taking call, typically work approximately 4 clinic days and 1 OR day per week.
• Provide restricted/beeper call coverage with a rapid return-call response requirement.
• Respond to after-hours patient needs and emergency consultations.
• Perform standard urology procedures in both clinic and OR settings.
• Work across the hospital and nearby urology clinic.

Additional clinical care includes erectile dysfunction, kidney stones, male incontinence, and other standard urologic conditions.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required.
• Active Washington medical license required at time of presentation.
• IMLC candidates may be considered if they have the required Letter of Qualification and can obtain Washington licensure promptly.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Strong general Urology experience required.
• Da Vinci/robotic experience is a plus but not required.
• Must provide documentation of 100 representative surgical procedures performed within the previous 24 months, including procedure/diagnosis, date, and facility.
• Ability to provide both inpatient and outpatient care.

Working Hours

Clinic:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

OR:
Approximately 1 scheduled OR day per week

Call:
Approximately 7 days of unrestricted 24-hour call per month

• Restricted/beeper call
• Approximately 10-minute return-call response expectation
• Must remain within approximately 30 minutes of the facility, potentially up to 45 minutes
• Average after-hours calls/texts: 0–4
• 4 hours of gratis included for call coverage
• Administrative time is paid
