Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urology Physician (MD/DO) for an ongoing locum opportunity at an Acute Care Hospital in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. This position is weekend-only 24-hour call coverage with no scheduled clinic responsibilities. The physician will provide inpatient and emergency department urology consultations, managing general urologic conditions in a community hospital setting. The provider will work alongside an established team of physicians and a physician assistant while utilizing Epic EMR.
Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with general urologic conditions.
• Perform inpatient consultations and emergency urologic evaluations.
• Manage urgent urologic conditions and coordinate appropriate treatment plans.
• Perform emergency urologic procedures as clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, emergency department staff, and hospital teams.
• Document patient encounters accurately using Epic EMR.
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining hospital standards.
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License or IMLC Letter of Qualification required.
• Current DEA registration required.
• Minimum 5 years of Urology experience required.
• Recent Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Experience providing inpatient and emergency urology coverage.
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.
Working Hours
• Preferred schedule: Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM (alternative schedule of Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM may be considered).
• No scheduled outpatient clinic responsibilities.
• Ongoing assignment with weekend and holiday coverage required.
