Locum Tenens Urology Opportunity | Washington | Clinic, OR & Call | Flexible Ongoing Coverage

We are seeking two Board-Certified Urologists for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Washington. This position offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, operating room time, and shared call coverage at a well-established medical center. Providers will work across both the hospital and an affiliated urology clinic located just one mile apart.

Position Highlights

• Coverage Need: 2 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) providers
• Assignment Length: Approved through December 31, 2026, with annual renewal potential
• Practice Setting: Hospital & Outpatient Urology Clinic
• Hospital Size: 122 beds
• EMR: Epic
• Patient Volume: Approximately 18 patients per day
• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients

Schedule

• Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 8-hour daytime shifts
• 1 OR day per week
• 7 days of unrestricted call per month
• 1:2 weekend call rotation
• Paid administrative day between call rotations

Typical Weekly Schedule

• When on call:
  • 3 clinic days
  • 1 OR day
  • 24-hour call coverage throughout the week
  • Paid administrative day for adequate rest
• When not on call:
  • 4 clinic days
  • 1 OR day
  • No weekday call responsibilities

Call Details

• Restricted/beeper call
• 10-minute return call response time
• Must remain within approximately 30–45 minutes of the facility
• Average after-hours calls/texts: 0–4 per night

Clinical Responsibilities

Providers will perform a broad range of general urology procedures in both the clinic and operating room, including:

• Catheter placement
• Ureteral stent placement
• Cystoscopy
• TURP
• Ureteroscopy
• Prostate biopsy
• Circumcision
• Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL)
• Orchiopexy
• TURBT
• Hydrocelectomy
• Spermatocelectomy
• PVP
• Litholapaxy

Additional clinical responsibilities include:

• Diagnosis and treatment of erectile dysfunction
• Kidney stone management
• Male incontinence
• Surgical assisting

Experience with the Da Vinci robotic platform is highly preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Urology
• Active Washington medical license required
  • Candidates with an IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) are encouraged to apply and may qualify for expedited licensure
• BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• DEA required (if applicable)
• Recent clinical activity required:
  • Documentation of 100 urologic surgical procedures performed within the past 24 months
