Locum Tenens Urology Opportunity | Pennsylvania | Full-Time Call Coverage - Call Matt @ 858-352-7638

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Pennsylvania. This is a great opportunity for a provider looking for full-time locums coverage with a mix of 24-hour call, inpatient responsibilities, and some clinic/procedural work.

Position Highlights

• Coverage Type: 24-hour beeper call
• Schedule Need: Full-time locums (coverage may be split among providers)
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: ~90 days (temporary privileges available with clean file)

Clinical Details

• 24-hour beeper call
• Estimated callback: 2–6 hours/day
• Adult patients (18+) with occasional pediatric emergency torsion cases during call
• Daily volume: ~24–28 patients, including office visits and cysto/stent procedures
• Office support includes:
  • 4 Medical Assistants
  • 1 Clinical Support Associate
  • 1 RN

Facility & Equipment

• 16 operating rooms across York Hospital and Apple Hill Surgery
• Robotic surgery available (robotics experience preferred)
• Office equipment includes:
  • Cystoscope & towers
  • Injection capabilities
• Supervision of new APPs required

Procedures & Skills

Candidates should be comfortable with general urology, including:

• Vasectomy
• Cystoscopy (OR)
• Prostate procedures
• Ureteroscopy (OR)
• Lithotripsy
• Orchiopexy
• Penile plication

Nice to have (not mandatory):

• Vasectomy reversal
• Penile implants
• Scope procedures (if part of current practice)

Requirements

• BC/BE in Urology
• Active Pennsylvania license preferred for quickest start (IMLC LOQ accepted)
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• New graduates welcome to apply
