St. Bernards Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist to join our Acute Care Urology Hospitalist program at St. Bernards Medical Center, a 457-bed regional referral center serving more than 700,000 residents across Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.

Practice acute care urology in a high-volume tertiary medical center with advanced robotics, dedicated operating room access, and a predictable block schedule. This position is ideal for surgeons who enjoy managing complex inpatient and emergency cases while avoiding the demands of building a traditional outpatient practice.

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient urologic care for hospitalized patients.
- Partner with an established employed urology practice, providing acute inpatient and emergency surgical care while supporting continuity for elective and outpatient patients.
- Evaluate and manage emergency department urology consults.
- Perform urgent and emergent open, endoscopic, and robotic surgical procedures.
- Diagnose and treat acute urologic conditions including obstructing stone disease, gross hematuria, urinary retention, urologic trauma, Fournier's gangrene, testicular torsion, and other complex emergencies.
- Collaborate with Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Critical Care, General Surgery, and other specialty teams to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Perform daily inpatient rounds and develop treatment plans for hospitalized patients.
- Participate in a structured block schedule of approximately 14–15 shifts per month.
- Utilize state-of-the-art robotic technology within Arkansas' largest robotic surgery program, featuring five da Vinci robotic systems, including three da Vinci 5 platforms.
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Optional opportunity to participate in the education and mentorship of Family Medicine residents, Internal Medicine residents, and medical students.
