Urology Locums Opportunity

A healthcare system is seeking an experienced Urology physician for an ongoing locums assignment in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This opportunity is ideal for a provider comfortable practicing independently in a busy urology practice with both clinic and surgical responsibilities.

Practice Details

• ASAP start

• Coverage needed due to staffing gap

• Work between a medical center and affiliated urology clinic

• Hospital and clinic privileges required

• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities

• 122-bed facility

• Epic EMR

• Average patient volume: 18 patients per day

• Solo provider coverage

• 7 days of unrestricted call per month

Clinical Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat erectile dysfunction

• Manage kidney stones and male incontinence

• Perform yearly urology follow-ups and medication refills

• Conduct cystoscopies and provide surgical assistance

• Deliver comprehensive urologic evaluation and treatment

Procedures Performed

• Catheter placement

• Stent placement

• Cystoscopy

• TURP

• Ureteroscopy

• Prostate biopsy

• Circumcision

• Shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL)

• Orchiopexy

• TURBT

• Hydrocelectomy

• Spermatocelectomy

• PVP

• Litholapaxy

Requirements

• Active Washington license required at presentation

  • Candidates with IMLC Letter of Qualification may also be considered

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

  • Must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross

• Recent procedural experience required within the last 24 months

  • Providers must submit case logs documenting at least 100 surgical procedures representative of requested privileges

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced DO or MD with strong urology background

• Comfortable working autonomously

• Able to manage both clinic and hospital-based urologic care

• Strong procedural and surgical experience preferred
