Job description
We are seeking a Urology physician for a locum tenens position in York, PA. This is a 24-hour call coverage opportunity at an acute care hospital with surgical and clinic responsibilities. Please see below for more information.
- Beds: 593
- Trauma Level: I–IV
- EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Manage 24–28 patients per day, including cystoscopy/stent procedures mixed with office visits
Perform core procedures including vasectomy, cystoscopy, prostate procedures, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy, orchiopexy, and penile plication
Perform optional procedures including vasectomy reversal and penile implants (rare)
Utilize robotic surgery as needed
Respond to callbacks averaging 2–6 hours per day
Supervise NPs and PAs
Work alongside support staff of 4 MAs, 1 CSA, and 1 RN in the office/clinic
Care for adult patient population (18+), with the exception of emergency pediatric torsion cases
Cover 16 total OR rooms across two surgical sites
Qualifications
Active Pennsylvania state license (IMLC accepted)

Coverage dates: June 1–5 (7:00a–7:00a), June 8–12 (7:00a–7:00a), June 22 – June 26 (5:00p), June 26 (5:00p) – June 29 (7:00a), July 4 – July 10 (5:00p), July 27 – July 31 (5:00p)
