Job description
• We are seeking a skilled Urology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity providing 24-hour hospital and surgical coverage in Chambersburg, PA.
• This PRN role offers periodic coverage (every 12–14 weeks) with the flexibility of scheduled blocks.
• The provider will primarily see patients onsite while also handling phone consults for multiple nearby facilities.
• Ideal for physicians comfortable working independently, as there is no APP support.
• Strong communication skills are highly preferred for coordinating across multiple locations.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage all urologic patient care needs across inpatient settings
• Respond to phone consultations from affiliated facilities (Gettysburg, Waynesboro, Fulton County Medical Center)
• Handle daily callbacks averaging 10–12 hours
• Perform necessary urologic procedures and emergency interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License (Required)
• Valid DEA License
• Strong communication and independent decision-making skills
• Clean credentialing file for expedited processing (~90 days)
Working Hours
• Coverage Dates:
• September 1 – September 8
• November 16 – November 23
• PRN schedule (approximately once every 12–14 weeks)
