Job description
A facility is seeking a Urologist for locum tenens coverage providing a mix of clinic, call, and surgical services. This is a busy, fast-paced practice with a broad range of general urology cases.
Orientation $200/hr
$400/hr
Night call $800 , includes 2.5 h gratis
3250/day with 4 hour gratis
$425/hr call-back

Schedule
Clinic: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Call components include:
Night call: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
24-hour call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Call ratio: 1:6
Minimum expectation:
5–6 days of call plus clinic per week
Must be able to take weekend call (before or after scheduled week)

Clinical Responsibilities
General urology clinic and hospital coverage
Inpatient rounding
Surgical procedures
ED consults and call coverage
Procedures
Bread and butter urology procedures including:
Cystoscopy
Vasectomy
Prostate biopsy
TURP
Uroflow/cuff
Bladder scans
Ureteroscopy
Nephrectomy
Cystectomy
ESWL
Botox injections
Robotics available (not required)
Patient Volume
20–25 patients per day
20–30 surgeries per month
Call mix:
20% new consults
80% callbacks
Average callback time:
Weekday: ~0.5 hours
Weekend: ~2 hours
Practice Environment
Sole provider in a busy department
Support staff includes:
2 RNs
MA
Surgery scheduler
2 front office staff
Hospitalist team handles admissions
EMR: Epic
Credentialing
Estimated timeframe: ~3 months
Travel
Local candidates preferred
Preferred lodging
Requirements
Board Certified – highly preferred or Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)
Washington license – highly preferred or IMLC with LOQ in hand
BLS and DEA – required (ACLS may be obtained if selected)
Must be able to cover ~80% of listed dates – required
Must provide availability and blackout dates – required
Must provide monthly shift availability – required
Clean malpractice – highly preferred
