A locum tenens opportunity is available for a Board-Certified Urologist with a renowned facility. This role offers a mix of outpatient care, inpatient consults, and procedural work in a supportive, team-based environment. About the Facility

Canton-Potsdam Hospital is an acute care, Level III trauma center located in Potsdam, NY. The urology practice is primarily outpatient-based, supported by a small, efficient team that includes nursing staff and patient support personnel. The clinic features four exam rooms and utilizes Epic as its electronic medical record system. While surgical services are available with dedicated OR block time, robotic capabilities are limited.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient urology care, including evaluation and treatment of adult patients
  
  
• Perform bread-and-butter urological procedures
  
  
• Conduct inpatient consults and post-operative rounding as needed
  
  
• Participate in scheduled OR time for procedures (7:30 AM – 3:00 PM block)
  
  
• Manage an average of approximately 20 patients per day
  
  
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure quality patient care
  
  
• Optional participation in on-call coverage

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Urology
  
  
• Active New York medical license (required at time of Application)
  
  
• Experience with Epic EMR
  
  
• BLS certification
  
  
• Clean and consistent work history with no significant gaps
  
  
• Malpractice history must be disclosed (if applicable)

Working Hours

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  
  
• Clinic hours primarily Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  
  
• Optional 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM), with flexible scheduling
