Job Title: Locum Urologist
Location: Potsdam, NY
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Length: Ongoing
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Call: 24-Hour Call Coverage, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (Flexible based on availability)

Job Responsibilities
Call Schedule: Flexible; 24-hour call, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
Workload: Full-time preferred due to current staffing gaps
Patient Population: Adult patients (18+)
Department Description: Primarily outpatient with inpatient consults, procedures, and post-op rounding as needed. Bread and butter cases/procedures, mix of patient contact, procedures, rounding, and consults.
Typical Day: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with call opportunities
Clinic Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Average Caseload: Approximately 20 patients per provider per day
Facility Information:
Level III Trauma Center
Operating Room (OR) Block: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM (no case limit)
Robotic Surgery: Limited availability (not typically on urology days)
Unit: 4 exam rooms with 1 Full-Time Provider (FT) currently, 2 LPNs, 2 CNAs/CMAs, and 1 Patient Representative
Practice Setting:
Hospital/Outpatient Clinic
Qualifications
Board Certification: Required
BLS Certification: Required
License Required: NY State License (in hand)
Experience: Epic EMR experience required
Minimum Experience: 1 year in Urology
Work History: Ensure up-to-date work history with no gaps exceeding 30 days
Working Hours
Facility will work with locum providers to determine the call schedule based on availability
Focus on bread and butter urology cases/procedures, with a mix of outpatient and inpatient duties
Excellent team support with LPNs, CNAs, and Patient Representative on staff
