Job Overview:
We are seeking a Urologist to diagnose, treat, and manage conditions of the urinary tract and male reproductive system in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role provides high-quality, patient-centered care, performs office-based and operative procedures, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and manage conditions such as kidney stones, prostate disorders, urinary incontinence, bladder issues, erectile dysfunction, and urologic cancers.
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care for urologic procedures and develop individualized treatment plans for chronic conditions.
- Perform cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, stone management (e.g., ureteroscopy, lithotripsy), and laparoscopic/robotic procedures as privileged.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including oncology, nephrology, radiology, and primary care.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, procedures, and preventive strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) and adhere to hospital policies, regulations, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited institution with completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Urology Residency.
- Board certified or board eligible in Urology.
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure and DEA registration in Pennsylvania.
- Proficient in both office-based and operative urologic care with strong diagnostic and procedural skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform fine motor tasks during procedures.
- Capacity to lift/move up to 25 lbs. and assist with patient positioning as needed.
