Job Title: Board Certified /Board Eligible Urologist
Department: Veteran Affairs
Locations: Fargo ND 58102
Shift: 08:00am-04:00pm (M-F)
Duration: 1 year to long term
Hours/week: 40 Hours/week
Job description:
- Direct Patient Care (Approx. 90%):
- Evaluate and treat patients in the Urology outpatient clinic daily
- Conduct consultations and coordinate referrals
- Perform inpatient rounds for Urology patients
- Carry out procedures including cystoscopies, vasectomies, scrotal surgeries, ureteroscopies, transurethral surgeries for prostate disease and bladder cancer
- Provide general urological care
- Preferred Skills: Robotics certification is preferred but not required.
- Schedule:
- Hospital hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. local time
- 80 hours per pay period, Monday–Friday
- No call responsibilities or Federal holiday duties
- Procedures Expected:
- Lymphatic, abdominal, prostate, urethra, ureter, bladder, kidney, penis, scrotum, testes procedures
- Endoscopy procedures
- Use of holmium laser, ESWL, and fluoroscopy
Requirement:
License: The physician assigned to perform services under this contract must hold a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia, when services are performed onsite at VA property. A North Dakota license is preferred but not required.
Board Certification: All Contractor’s physician(s) must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology (ABU).
