Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified Urologist to provide locum coverage for a well established urology program. This role includes a combination of clinic, scheduled OR block time, and 24 hour call coverage in a collaborative hospital setting supported by advanced practice providers and experienced clinic staff.
The facility is looking for a physician who can provide 10 to 12 days of coverage per month and who is comfortable managing both elective urologic procedures and urgent urologic consults.
The physician will participate in a balanced schedule consisting of three clinic days per week and approximately two days of scheduled OR block time. One of the clinic days typically includes in office procedures such as cystoscopies, fusion biopsies, bladder biopsies, and urodynamic testing.
The clinic currently includes one physician, three physician assistants, one RN, and eight medical assistants, creating a well supported environment for efficient patient care and procedural workflow.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform scheduled urologic surgeries during assigned OR block time
• Conduct in office procedures including cystoscopies and biopsy procedures
• Participate in hospital consults and inpatient urologic care as needed
• Provide 24 hour call coverage with APP support
Qualifications
• Active Washington license or IMLC eligibility
• Experience performing general urologic procedures and surgeries
• Comfortable managing inpatient consults and emergent urologic conditions
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Working Hours
10 to 12 days of coverage per month
Combination of clinic, OR block time, and call coverage
Clinic hours 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday through Friday
Coverage needed for weekdays and weekends
Providers are typically scheduled for three clinic days and two OR days per week when on service.
