Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled, board-certified Urologist to join our urology service line in Johnson City, NY. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients with disorders of the urinary tract and male reproductive system, using state-of-the-art techniques and technologies. This is a full-time, hospital-based opportunity with competitive compensation and leadership growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat medical and surgical conditions of the genitourinary system, including kidney stones, prostate disease, urinary incontinence, bladder cancer and male reproductive disorders.

Perform a broad range of surgical procedures, including minimally invasive, laparoscopic, endoscopic, and robotic-assisted surgeries.

Provide ambulatory care in office and hospital settings, including outpatient procedures and inpatient consults.

Order, interpret and integrate diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies into patient care plans.

Engage in continuous patient education, counseling on treatment options, and shared decision-making.

Document patient encounters and procedures accurately in electronic medical records.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing staff, physician assistants, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.

Completed residency training in Urology; fellowship training preferred.

Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Urology.

Valid New York State medical license or eligibility for licensure.

Demonstrated excellence in clinical care and surgical proficiency.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with robotic surgical platforms (e.g., DaVinci) and advanced minimally invasive techniques.

Academic interests or experience teaching residents/fellows.

Prior involvement in clinical research or quality improvement projects.
