As part of our team, you will play a key role in the development of the urology hospitalist program: overseeing patient care in the urology urgent care clinic, and managing inpatient urologic duties to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. Description:
- Schedule is 7-on/7-off, biweekly coverage 7am Monday- 7am Monday.
- Inpatient duties will consist of urologic consults, bedside procedures, daily rounding on urology patients, and collaborating with West Georgia Urology partners to delivery seamless care for patients.
- Urology urgent care will be 2-3 hours per day seeing patients for UTIs, blood in urine, acute kidney stone symptoms, inability to urinate, etc. These patients will be referred to West Georgia Urology partner for follow-up.
- 24/hr call requirement covering both Carrollton and Villa Rica facilities during “on” week.
- No established patient panel. Adult-only patient population.
- Practice has ambulatory surgery center in Carrollton.
- Da Vinci 5, Xi, and X robot systems.
- EPIC EMR.
- Abridge AI medical scribe assistant.
Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Georgia medical license and DEA, or ability to obtain one.
- Board eligibility or certification from the American Board of Urology.
- BLS certification.
- Required procedures: general and emergent urology procedures.
The Urohospitalist will join a multi-specialty group of 40 plus practices encompassing approximately 160+ employed providers, serving Carrollton, Villa Rica, Bremen and the surrounding communities.
