Practice Medicine in Beautiful Lake Tahoe
Enjoy the opportunity to practice medicine in the stunning Lake Tahoe region while working with a collaborative clinical team in an outpatient urgent care setting.
We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician with a background in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar acute care setting to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys evaluating a diverse range of acute conditions, values teamwork, and appreciates a shift-based schedule without on-call responsibilities.
Our urgent care services are supported by an established clinical and administrative team, allowing physicians to focus on providing high-quality, patient-centered care to the community.
Opportunity Highlights
- Desirable Lake Tahoe location with access to year-round outdoor recreation and mountain living.
- Predictable shift-based schedule with approximately four 10-hour shifts per week.
- No call responsibilities.
- Outpatient-only practice focused on urgent care.
- Typical patient volume of 20–35 patients per 10-hour shift.
- Dedicated support team including registered nurses, medical assistants, respiratory therapists, and front office staff.
- No advanced practice provider supervision responsibilities.
- Full-time employment based on 80 hours per pay period.
- Weekend and holiday coverage is part of the schedule.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Minimum of two years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar acute care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

- Active California medical license strongly preferred.
- Ability to meet applicable DEA registration, medical staff credentialing, and payer enrollment requirements.
Important Licensing and Credentialing Information

Obtaining California licensure, DEA registration, Tahoe Forest Health System medical staff credentials, and payer credentialing within the required timeframe may be difficult for candidates who are not already licensed in California.
