A growing healthcare system in coastal South Carolina is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urgent Care Physician to join its expanding urgent care team. This opportunity is ideal for a physician who enjoys a fast-paced practice, clinical variety, and autonomy while benefiting from experienced clinical staff, APP support, on-site diagnostics, and an extensive specialty referral network.
Position Highlights
Full-time, permanent Urgent Care opportunity
Locations in Little River or the Grand Strand
Current operating hours: Monday–Sunday, 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
Potential for expanded hours as the service line grows
No call responsibilities
Diverse acute-care patient population
Collaborative practice with physicians and Advanced Practice Providers
Experienced clinical and nursing support
On-site laboratory and imaging services
Direct access to specialty consultation and referrals
Cerner EMR
Dragon dictation
Ambient AI technology for clinical documentation

Clinical Focus
Upper respiratory infections

Other same-day acute illnesses and injuries
Procedures

Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Appropriate residency training for an Urgent Care practice
Current or eligible South Carolina medical license
Comfortable treating a broad range of acute illnesses and minor injuries
Proficiency with common office-based and urgent care procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong communication and collaborative-care skills
