Job description
WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated Medical Doctor (MD) with a specialization in either Emergency Medicine (EM) or Family Medicine (FM) for an urgent care position in Lower Fairfield County. This role requires overseeing providers and floating within the region to treat patients of all ages with non-life-threatening medical needs. The ideal candidate will have the ability to suture, splint, and read x-rays.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support medical providers within the urgent care facility.
- Treat patients of all ages (0-100) with non-life-threatening medical conditions.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and x-ray interpretation.
- Work collaboratively with a team of 2-3 providers and ancillary support staff.
- Maintain a flexible schedule with a rotating pattern of 2on/3off or 3on/2off shifts, totaling approximately 14-15 shifts per month.
Requirements
- Experience in Urgent Care (UC) or Emergency Medicine (EM) is preferred.
- Must be trained in either Emergency Medicine (EM) or Family Medicine (FM).
- Board Certification (BC) is required.
- Active Connecticut (CT) medical license is required.
