STATUS is seeking physicians to become a part of our Emergency Department team at a freestanding rural ED in Mahnomen, Minnesota. Join STATUS working full-time, part-time, or PRN at Mahnomen Health Center.
From its start in 1959, Mahnomen Health has been deeply committed to serving the residents of Mahnomen County and White Earth Reservation. In 1999, Mahnomen Health Center became Minnesota’s first critical access hospital. Today, they are an 5-bed rural emergency department with no inpatient units.
Community Highlights
"Mahnomen" is the Ojibway word for wild rice, Minnesota's state grain. Mahnomen is located on the White Earth Indian Reservation along the Wild Rice River and consists of prime agricultural land along with rolling hills and beautiful spring-fed lakes. It is home to the Shooting Star Casino and Hotel which features top-quality headliner shows and entertainment bringing tourists from around the country and Canada.
Position Highlights
- Annual ED Volume: 2,741 patients
- Low trauma, lower acuity
- Longer Shift Lengths Available: can work up to 72 Hour Shifts (provider choice)
- EMR: EPIC
- 5 Bed ED, no inpatient units
- Skilled nursing home attached to facility
- 1099 independent contractor with STATUS, a physician owned group based in Iowa
Qualifications
- Board certified or eligible in EM, FM, or IM
- ACLS, PALS, & ATLS (or CALS)
