Job description
We are seeking a Telehealth Medical Weight Loss Physician for a locum tenens position in Des Moines, IA. This is a fully remote telehealth opportunity focused on Medical Weight Loss (MWL) services with the potential to cross-train into Urgent Care and HRT/TRT. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct asynchronous chart reviews (MWL focus)
• Perform synchronous online patient visits
• Support patients with weight management programs and prescriptions
• Opportunity to cross-train into Urgent Care and HRT/TRT service lines
• Complete required onboarding and platform training prior to patient care
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
• Multiple active state medical licenses (8+ preferred)
• Medicare-eligible (PECOS verified, not on the Opt-Out list)
• DEA registration
Working Hours
Operating Hours (EST): Medical Weight Loss 7:00 AM - 12:00 AM; Urgent Care 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM; TRT/HRT 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM
26-week assignment (flexible)
Start Date: June 1, 2026
