Job description
We are seeking a Telehealth Urgent Care Physician for a locum tenens position in Des Moines, IA. This is a fully remote telehealth opportunity with a mix of synchronous and asynchronous visits, including potential cross-training into Medical Weight Loss and HRT/TRT services. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct asynchronous chart reviews (approximately 80% of workload)
• Perform synchronous online patient visits (approximately 20% of workload)
• Manage prescriptions through the telehealth platform
• Opportunity to cross-train into Medical Weight Loss and HRT/TRT service lines
• Complete required onboarding and platform training prior to patient care
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
• Multiple active state medical licenses (8+ preferred); Arkansas license prioritized
• Medicare-eligible (PECOS verified, not on the Opt-Out list)
• DEA registration
Working Hours
4x5-hour shifts (5:00 PM - 10:00 PM, flexible)
Operating Hours (EST): Urgent Care 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM; Medical Weight Loss 7:00 AM - 12:00 AM; TRT/HRT 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM
26-week assignment (flexible)
Start Date: June 1, 2026
