Urgent Care Physician (MD/DO) – 1099
Multiple Locations Across Southern California
Overview
We are seeking experienced Physicians (MD/DO) to join a rapidly growing, high-quality urgent care organization known for its modern facilities and strong clinical support. This is a 1099 independent contractor role offering excellent flexibility, competitive pay, and opportunities for leadership growth.
Physicians enjoy autonomy in scheduling, malpractice coverage including tail, and the ability to work across multiple locations within a defined radius.
Incentives
- Productivity Incentive (starting 2026):
- Target: 36 patients/day
- $30 per patient for each patient seen above 36
- Malpractice Insurance: Covered, including Tail Coverage
- Benefits: None (1099 role)
Schedule & Commitment
- Shifts:
- Standard shifts: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (12 hours)
- Weekend shifts may be 6 hours
- Full-Time:
- 3 shifts/week
- Must work either Saturday or Sunday each week
- Part-Time:
- 1–2 shifts/week
- Must work Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
- Minimum Requirement: 4 shifts per month
- Flexibility:
- Weekend availability required for all roles
- Weekday schedules can be flexible and even set if desired
- Scheduling:
- Monthly schedules provided
- Full-time physicians may receive schedules up to 3 months in advance
Locations
Candidates will be considered for all locations, with priority needs in:
- Hollywood
- Downtown Los Angeles
- South Bay
- San Fernando Valley
- Ventura
- Camarillo
- Calabasas
Additional strong markets:
- Orange County (high need for part-time, especially Fri–Sun)
- Pasadena
- Inland Empire
Orange County Specific Need:
- High demand for part-time physicians (1 shift/week on Fri, Sat, or Sun)
- Extra shifts available, potentially at neighboring sites within a 15–20 mile radius
- Full-time candidates will also be considered

Location Flexibility
- Physicians may be asked to float between locations as needed
- Travel radius typically no more than 15–20 miles
- One location per day (no mid-shift site changes)
- Full-time providers usually have a designated home base
- Part-time providers have a primary site but may support nearby weekend locations
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality urgent care services in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Supervision of PAs may occur but is unlikely initially
- Maintain compliance with clinical and credentialing standards
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Urgent Care or a higher-acuity setting
- Board Certification (one of the following):
- American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) – Certified
- ABEM Board Eligible
- Board certified by an ABMS or American Osteopathic Board member
