Urgent Care Physician opportunity: Cedar Rapids, IA About the Job:

  • Urgent Care Clinics are open 8am-8pm Monday Friday; 8am-3pm Saturday and Sunday
  • Schedule is shift based; 14-15 shifts per month
  • Rotating weekend shifts
  • 2 Providers per shift
  • No call requirements
  • Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
  • 24/7 hospitalist program is responsible for adult and pediatric inpatients
  • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
  • Epic integration with an option for patients to reserve your spot online
  • Average of 5-6 patients per hour
  • Provide medical treatment for minor illnesses and injuries
  • Excellent assessment skills
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide high quality care to all ages
  • Offers select diagnostic tests and lab tests
  • Prescribe treatment, refer patients for follow up care, and educate patients
  • Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
  • Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications MD or DO Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine and/or Emergency Medicine Preferred American board of Urgent Care medicine certification Ability to care for all ages Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt) Compensation and Benefits: Initial 2-year salary guarantee with ability to exceed on an innovative compensation program Attractive incentive package A competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what stage of life you are in.
