Aya Healthcare is seeking a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon for a Locum Tenens call coverage opportunity at Alameda Health System's Highland Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center in Oakland, CA. Start date: 1/25/2027.
- Highland Hospital, Alameda Health System: acute care hospital and Level 1 trauma center
- Weekend 24-hour call (7a-7a) and weeknight call (5p-7a)
- Minimum of 4 shifts per month; roughly 2 weekends/month and 3 weeknights/week
- Epic EMR
- Vascular trauma and open vascular surgery experience required
Job Responsibilities
• Cover approximately 2 weekends per month and 3 weeknights per week (50% weeknight / 50% weekend); minimum of 4 shifts per month
• Manage vascular trauma and open vascular surgery cases at a Level 1 trauma center
• Respond to call backs as needed
Qualifications
• California license and California DEA required
• Fluoroscopy certification and ACLS required
• 4-5 years of vascular surgery experience (fellowship training may count)
• Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required (Level 1 strongly preferred) including vascular trauma call
