Job description
Part-time locum tenens opportunity for a Vascular Surgeon providing night and weekend call coverage at a Level 1 trauma center in Oakland, CA. Minimum of 4 shifts per month.
- Acute care hospital and Level 1 trauma center within a public health system
- Weekend 24-hour beeper call 7a-7a and weeknight beeper call 5p-7a
- Approx. 2 weekends per month and 3 weeknights per week
- Epic charting; census fluctuates and is busier in summer
- Privileging takes 90-120 days
Job Responsibilities
• Approx. 2 weekends per month (24-hour beeper call 7a-7a) and 3 weeknights per week (5p-7a)
• Manage vascular trauma call, vascular and open surgery cases
• Minimum commitment of 4 shifts per month; census fluctuates and is busier in summer
Qualifications
• 4-5 years of vascular surgery experience (can include fellowship training)
• Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required (Level 1 strongly preferred) and vascular trauma call experience
• California license and California DEA required; will license
• Fluoroscopy certification and ACLS required
• Epic charting
