Job description
Aya Healthcare is seeking a Vascular Surgeon for a locum tenens call coverage assignment at a busy Level 1 trauma center in Oakland, CA.
- Level 1 trauma center with Epic charting
- Weekend 24-hour call and weeknight call coverage
- Approximately 2 weekends per month and 3 weeknights per week; minimum of 4 shifts per month
- Vascular trauma and open vascular surgery experience required
- Adult patient population; census fluctuates and is busier in summer
Job Responsibilities
• Cover approximately 2 weekends per month and 3 weeknights per week (minimum of 4 shifts per month)
• Manage vascular trauma and open vascular surgery cases
• Document in Epic
Qualifications
• California license and California DEA required
• Fluoroscopy certification and ACLS required
• 4-5 years of vascular surgery experience (fellowship training may count)
• Level 1 or 2 trauma experience (Level 1 strongly preferred) and vascular trauma call experience
