Job description
We are seeking a Vascular Surgeon for a locum tenens position at Highland Hospital (Alameda Health System) in Oakland, California. This role covers night and weekend beeper call at a Level I trauma center. Please see below for more information.
- Level I Adult Trauma Center
- Epic EMR
- Vascular trauma surgery focus
- Weekend 24-hour beeper call (7a-7a) and weeknight beeper call (5p-7a)
- Minimum of 4 shifts per month
Job Responsibilities
• Cover weekend 24-hour beeper call (7a-7a) and weeknight beeper call (5p-7a)
• Perform vascular and open surgery as needed
• Cover a minimum of 4 shifts per month (approx. 2 weekends and 3 weeknights per week when scheduled)
Qualifications
• Level I or II trauma experience (Level I strongly preferred)
• Experience covering vascular trauma call
• Comfortable with vascular and open surgery
• California license required
• CA DEA required
• Fluoroscopy certification required; ACLS required
