Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon for a locum tenens position in Oakland, CA. This opportunity provides vascular surgery trauma call coverage at a Level I Trauma Center, with a need for both weekend and weeknight beeper call coverage. Please see below for more information.

Job Responsibilities
Cover weekend 24-hour beeper call from 7:00a–7:00a
Cover weeknight beeper call from 5:00p–7:00a as assigned
Manage vascular surgery consults, emergencies, and trauma-related cases while on call
Provide coverage for a fluctuating patient census, with higher volume generally expected during summer months
Must be comfortable with vascular trauma surgery, vascular call, and open surgery
Support facility coverage needs with a minimum of 4 shifts per month
Qualifications
Active California medical license required
California DEA required
Fluoroscopy certification required
ACLS required
Level I or Level II trauma experience required
Level I trauma experience strongly preferred
Must have experience working vascular trauma call
Must be comfortable with vascular and open surgery
Working Hours
Weekend call: 24-hour beeper call, 7:00a–7:00a
Weeknight call: 5:00p–7:00a
Coverage need: approximately 50% weeknight and 50% weekend coverage
Estimated need: around 2 weekends/month and 3 weeknights/week
Providers must be willing to cover a minimum of 4 shifts/month
