Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon for a locum tenens position in Charleston, SC. This opportunity provides 24-hour call coverage at an HCA acute care hospital, supporting a temporary coverage gap due to a permanent physician leaving. Please see below for more information.

Job Responsibilities
Round and provide patient care during the day
Remain available for consults, admissions, emergencies, and surgical cases during the overnight period
Manage an average daily volume of approximately 10 patients/day
Work with available APP/PA support to assist with patient management and call responsibilities
Cover sporadic/as-needed dates based on facility need
Qualifications
Active South Carolina medical license required
Experience with acute care vascular surgery coverage preferred
Working Hours
Coverage type: 24-hour call coverage
Start date: 7/17/2026
Coverage pattern: Sporadic/as-needed dates
This is call coverage and not necessarily 24 hours of continuous in-house work
