Academic 100% Vascular Surgery openings - Dayton, OH Position Details

  • Seeking a full-time faculty physician specializing in vascular surgery.
  • This position offers a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team that blends academic medicine with clinical practice across Dayton and the surrounding region.
  • As a faculty member, you will play an integral role in educating and training medical students, residents, and fellows, while providing care to a diverse patient population in a variety of clinical settings.
  • Participating in didactic teaching, journal clubs, clinical case conferences, and other teaching assignments for residents and medical students, as assigned by and in collaboration with the department and BSOM‚Äôs academic leadership.
  • Contributing to the division‚Äôs clinical/patient care, research, and teaching missions.
  • Clinical teaching, supervision, and patient care on the division‚Äôs services, including a combination of contributions to the inpatient teaching service, Vascular Surgeons clinics; working with a diverse variety of vascular surgery cases including but not limited to: - Open and endovascular cases - Carotid artery surgeries, lower limb revascularizations, aneurysm repairs, limb amputations, venous bypass surgeries - Trauma cases
  • Interest in building a complex aortic program alongside our award-winning cardiothoracic surgery department would be encouraged and supported.
  • APP collaboration for both inpatient and outpatient clinical practice
Qualifications: American Trained, US Citizen or Permanent Resident Status MD, DO or MBBS degree. Completed General Surgery residency. Completed Vascular Surgery fellowship. Board Certification in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery (or Board-Eligible**) Ohio Medical License Federally issued DEA License Fellows-in-training is encouraged Candidates may be approved to onboard as Board-Eligible with a non-negotiable expectation of Board Certification completion as soon as is feasible.
