Clinical Role:
Seeking a full-time Vascular Surgeon to help shape a high-quality, community-focused vascular program in Northwest Ohio. This is a unique opportunity to lead program growth, manage diverse cases, and enjoy schedule flexibility with strong clinical support — all while making a meaningful impact in a collaborative, patient-centered environment
Shift Description: The schedule includes 2 clinic days and 3 procedural days per week
Weekend Requirements: Weekend call is included in the 10 night/weekend shifts per month. Specific weekend shifts may be scheduled based on the overall call schedule
On Call Requirements: Call coverage for 10 night/weekend shifts per month (this does not include daytime coverage)
Establish and lead a community-based vascular surgery program
Provide advanced vascular surgical care, including Abdominal and thoracic aneurysmal disease, Carotid artery disease, Hemodialysis access, Peripheral vascular disease and limb salvage
Perform both open and endovascular procedures
Manage vascular conditions with medical therapy, lifestyle modification, and non-surgical interventions
Maintain a weekly schedule of:
2 clinic days
3 procedural/surgical days
Take 10 night/weekend call shifts per month (does not include daytime coverage)
Share call responsibilities with A PRN vascular surgeon, A vascular surgery APP, and An OSU vascular surgeon (phone support only)
Supervise advanced practice provider(s) involved in vascular care delivery
Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment with cardiology, interventional radiology, and other specialties.
Participate in the development and future expansion of the program, including, Recruitment of an additional vascular surgeon and APP by end of 2027 and Transition to a hybrid operating room (construction planned to complete by 2027)
Deliver patient-centered care in a high-quality, community-focused setting
Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment options, wellness, and disease prevention
Maintain responsive and open communication with referring physicians
Participate in institutional service activities at the department, college, and medical center levels
Serve as a preceptor and provide training to Medical students, Residents, Fellows, Nursing staff, and Allied health professionals
Opportunity for program leadership based on experience and interest
Receive a clinical faculty appointment (Assistant or Associate Professor) with The Ohio State University; role is 100% clinical and based in Findlay, Ohio (non-academic site)

Potential to earn annual bonus up to $75K based on scorecard metrics to be established by the Division director at OSUWMC
