Job Description: Full-time position including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access Established team of 4 physicians and 1 Advanced Practitioner Excellent mentoring opportunity with seasoned surgeons Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community High-Risk Patient Navigator to support patients throughout their journey Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination **Responsibilities:* Average of 18-20 patients per clinic day Group welcomes any special interests a candidate may have Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills Qualifications: MD or DO Board Eligible or Board Certified in Surgery Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt) J-1 waiver sponsorship available About the Group: A non-profit 900-member physician group practice serving 2,000,000 patients from 280 locations in Iowa and Illinois. Clinic has a base of primary care physicians in family practice, internal medicine and pediatrics. In addition, it offers physician services in subspecialty areas including pulmonology/Critical Care, endocrinology/diabetes, infectious disease, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry and rheumatology.
