Short-Term Locums Vascular Surgery - Florida Gulf Coast
*Location: Florida Gulf Coast between Sarasota and Fort Myers
*Reason for need: physician vacation coverage
*Setting: Inpatient
*Requirements: must be board certified, active FL licensee, completed fellowship, ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, clean malpractice and NPDB
*Emergency Credentialing in place to expedite
*Start Date: May 6
*End Date: June 20
*Dates needed:
May 6 - 9
June 17 - 20
*Coverage: 24 hour Call with some rounding on approx. 5 patients (both assigned and unassigned); 0-2 call-backs per day; nursing support but no mid-levels
*Call Response time: 15 minutes
*Phone Consults 2-4
*Call Ratio: 1/3
*Call Back %: 33%
*Patients seen: 4-8
*Admissions 100%
*EMR: Cerner hospital; Athena clinic
*Skills: General Surgery, adult, trauma, PA catheter placement, Vascular, Aneurysm repairs, Thoracic, Abdominal, Arterial bypass, Peripheral, Vascular access devices, AV shunt
