Trauma Surgery Opportunity - Tyler, TX Dallas 90m Position Details

  • Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Trauma Surgeon to join the practice.
  • Tyler, TX, at the only Level I trauma center in its 18-county trauma service area (over 1 million residents)
  • Join 5 trauma/critical care surgeons, expanding to 6 or 7
  • 9 primary in-house 12-hour trauma shifts and 9 home backup shifts a month, including trauma ICU
  • 3 separate 24-hour emergency general surgery call shifts a month
  • Resident staffed with 24/7 midlevel coverage
Medical Group Details Medical Group is comprised of 10 hospitals, more than 90 physician clinics, over 300 employed providers, 13 regional rehabilitation facilities, two freestanding emergency centers, regional home health services covering 41 counties, an EMS fleet of more than 45 ambulances and four helicopters, and a comprehensive seven-trauma center care network, including a Level 1 trauma center. Primary service area has a population of over 600,000. 974-licensed beds Medical Group is uniquely positioned to provide East Texas patients with access to leading-edge research and clinical therapies while training and educating the next generation of physicians and other health professionals. Graduate Medical Education is an integral component at the Health System and includes accredited residency programs in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, and Psychiatry.
