Job description
• Locum tenens position providing acute trauma care and surgical call coverage in an inpatient hospital setting.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage trauma patients and surgical emergencies.
• Provide primary and backup call coverage.
• Respond to all pagers within 20 minutes.
• Collaborate with APPs and the inpatient care team.
Qualifications
• Surgical Critical Care certification or experience preferred.
• Experience managing trauma and emergency surgical cases.
Working Hours
• Shifts: 7 consecutive 13-hour shifts, depending on assigned coverage.
• Day coverage: 7:00 AM–6:00 PM.
• Night coverage: 6:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• 24-hour call includes 12 hours of primary call and 12 hours of backup call.
• No in-house call requirement.
