Job description

Job description A hospital in the Memphis, TN area needs a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for call-only coverage, November 24-30, 2026. Pay is $3,200/day. This is in-house, assigned-patient call, 1:5 call ratio, averaging 10 phone consults and 10 patients seen per 24 hours, with 3 admissions. Full CT case mix: CABG, AVR/MVR, TEVSG/EVSG, carotid endarterectomy, PVD, pericardial window, and more. Coverage spans CVICU, ICU, cardiac step-down, and other hospital areas as needed. Temp privileges available. Cerner EMR.

Job Responsibilities

Provide in-house, assigned-patient call coverage for cardiothoracic surgery. Round on assigned patients across CVICU, ICU, and cardiac step-down. Manage admissions and phone consults. Perform the full range of cardiothoracic and vascular procedures as needed.

Qualifications

Board Certified required, Thoracic/Cardiothoracic Surgery certification not strictly required per the client but strongly preferred. Fellowship preferred. Active Tennessee license or IMLC required, licensing costs not reimbursed. ACLS required.

In-house call, November 24-30, 2026.

Skills

Full-spectrum cardiothoracic and vascular surgery skill set, comfortable with CABG, AVR/MVR, TEVSG/EVSG, carotid endarterectomy, PVD, and pericardial window procedures. Cerner EMR.
