Job description
We are seeking a Trauma Surgeon for a locum tenens position in Vancouver, WA. This opportunity provides inpatient trauma and emergency general surgery coverage at a large acute care hospital with no call required. Please see below for more information.
• 450-bed acute care hospital / Level II Trauma coverage
• EMR: Epic

Job Responsibilities
Support trauma and emergency general surgery needs
Cover rounding and admissions as needed
Manage an adult patient population
See approximately 12–30 patients per day
Perform required trauma and emergency general surgery procedures
Work alongside existing Level II trauma coverage; provider will not be working solo
Support hospital-based coverage only; no clinic responsibilities
Qualifications
IMLC not accepted at this time
General Surgery residency required
Surgical Critical Care fellowship required
Board Certification required
Must provide case list within the past 24 months showing at least 100 critical care patients
ATLS and ACLS required
Working Hours
Assignment length: 6 months
Coverage type: Scheduled clinical hours only
No call
Day shifts: 7:00a–5:00p
Night shifts: 5:00p–7:00a
Shift options include daily 10-hour day shifts or 14-hour night shifts
FTE need: 1
Facility & Practice Details
Practice setting: Inpatient
Hospital privileges only; no clinic
Hospital bed size: 450
Patient population: Adults
Average volume: 12–30 patients/day
Reason for need: Gaps in coverage
Provider will work with existing Level II trauma coverage
