First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System is seeking to employ two (2) full -time BC/BE Trauma Surgeons to join our Acute Care Surgery team consisting of surgical ICU, trauma, and emergency general surgery. Position Highlight:

• Join nine (9) Trauma/General/Surgical Critical Care Surgeons and five (5) General Surgeons covering ACS call.
• SMH is a Level II Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center
• FDOH Designation Trauma Center since 2016 and re-designated in 2023 with no deficiencies.
• Over 175,000 emergency visits and 2800 Trauma Activations annually
• Supported team approach with 19 APPs.
• Two (2) Primary State-of-the-art Trauma Bays and six (6) back up rooms.
• Two (2) dedicated Trauma Operating Rooms + 5 daVinci Xi Robots on site.
• Management of 20 ICU beds
• Robust Interventional Radiology Service
• Employed Hospitalist and Anesthesia groups
• Dedicated Trauma pharmacist, social worker, and rehabilitation team (PT/OT/SLT).

Requirements:

• Surgical Critical Care Fellowship
• Double boarded with the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Surgical Critical Care and 2+ years of experience preferred.
• License in the state of Florida or eligible for medical licensure in the state.
