Join our growing and compassionate team at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN! We are seeking a Division Chief for the Acute Care Surgery Team to help provide top quality care, enhance research and align patient care standards. The Division Chief will provide strategic and operational leadership across the full range of Division service areas, including the tripartite missions of the academic institution, clinical and administrative service, education and research. This physician will serve as a representative for the department and collaborate on best practices for the two level one trauma programs at IU Health Methodist and Eskenazi Hospitals.

Additional Employment Opportunity Details:

  • Full-time employed opportunity
  • Provide services at two Level 1 Trauma Centers that combine for over 6000 admissions annually
  • Academic appointment with the IU School of Medicine, salary and academic/clinical rank will be commensurate or are commensurate with experience
  • Acute Care Surgery consisting of surgical ICU, trauma, emergency general surgery and opportunity for elective surgery/robotics cases
  • Support and contribute to a growing practice with highly collaborative and interdependent processes in place for successful patient outcomes
  • 90% inpatient/10% outpatient

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship
  • American Board of Surgery BE/BC
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Physician MD licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in the state
