Job Description
Cardiothoracic Surgery Medical Director opportunity in southwest Virginia. Join a team of 7 cardiologists, 1 cardiothoracic surgeon, and 5 advanced practice providers (2 dedicated CTS APPs).
Opportunity Details
- 5+ years of experience required
- Robotic lung experience is a plus, but not required
- TAVR experience is a plus, but not required
- Skillset in ECMO and Advanced Heart Failure (LVAD) to grow program is desired
- Must be Board Certified within 5 years of completing training
- Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Virginia
- Existing surgeon focuses on CABG, vascular work and TAVR
- Current volumes are 100-150 per year with goals to grow to 200-250 cases
- The call schedule is 1:2
- Dedicated CVOR staff
- 2 dedicated CVORs
- 1 dedicated EP lab and 3 cath labs
- 506-bed facility
- Accredited Stroke Center
- Accredited Chest Pain Center
