Overview
A well established health system in northern Illinois is recruiting a board certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon with a primary interest in thoracic surgery to join its growing cardiovascular surgery team. The role offers the chance to build and expand a comprehensive thoracic practice while staying involved in select adult cardiac procedures.

Build and lead a growing thoracic surgery practice with support from established cardiac surgery and cardiovascular teams
Collaboration with a robust multidisciplinary lung cancer program and regional cancer center
Work closely with advanced practice providers who streamline workflow and patient management
Practice at the region's only designated Heart Hospital, including TAVR and structural heart services
State of the art equipment and operating rooms, with coverage by in house intensivists
12 county referral area serving more than 500,000 residents in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin
Academic and teaching appointment available
Qualifications
MD, DO or equivalent with General Surgery residency and Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship, or an Integrated 6 or 4+3 Cardiothoracic residency
BC/BE in Thoracic Surgery
Demonstrated interest and expertise in thoracic surgery, including minimally invasive and robotic approaches
Active Illinois license and DEA, or ability to obtain before employment
