Thoracic Surgeon Opening in Kalamazoo, MI
Located in Kalamazoo, MI
Full time; BC/BE
Overview
* A nationally recognized cardiovascular care program in southwest Michigan is seeking a full time BC/BE thoracic surgeon
* Join a long standing heart institute team of 24 physicians and 18 advanced practice providers, with more than 12 outreach clinics in surrounding cities
* The cardiothoracic surgery team is 2 surgeons and 2 full time APPs
* Advanced capabilities include diagnostic testing, electrophysiology, anticoagulation services, a heart failure clinic and pulmonary hypertension clinic, and a structural heart program
* Experienced physicians and new graduates are welcome, and mentors are available
* 40 hours per week (36 patient facing and 4 administrative hours) with a mix of inpatient and outpatient care
* Call: currently 1 in 2, with APPs taking first call
* Equipment: 22 ORs including outpatient, 7 cath labs (2 hybrid) and 2 robots in the OR
Qualifications
* MD or DO
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery
