Cardiac Surgeon Opportunity
Located in Erie, PA - Buffalo, NY 95m
Full-time, permanent position
Position Overview
Cardiac Surgery opportunity within an established Cardiothoracic Surgery program
Full spectrum of cardiac and select thoracic surgical procedures
Join a team of 2 Cardiac Surgeons and 3 dedicated APPs
Access to a hybrid OR with convenient procedural scheduling
Opportunity to contribute to program development and surgical innovation
Collaborative environment with established Cardiology and Electrophysiology teams
Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Integrated Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency or Fellowship
Minimum 5 years of experience in Cardiac Surgery
Comprehensive experience across cardiac surgical procedures
Pennsylvania medical license required prior to employment
Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, communication, and teamwork skills
Experience with program development preferred
Practice Highlights
Established Cardiothoracic Surgery team with 2 Cardiac Surgeons and 3 dedicated APPs
Comprehensive cardiac surgical services, including:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Aortic and Mitral Valve Replacement
- Thoracotomy
- Pleurodesis
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
Hybrid operating room with reliable procedural access
3 robotic surgical systems, including 2 Da Vinci Xi platforms
Opportunity to contribute to ongoing MitraClip program development
Strong collaboration with Non-Invasive Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Electrophysiology
Access to cardiac catheterization, non-invasive testing, and cardiac rehabilitation
Practice within a 350-bed tertiary care hospital
Advanced surgical facilities, including 4 modern operating rooms
