Thoracic Surgeon – Dayton, OH
- Full-time, permanent position
Position Overview
* Full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon with a 100% thoracic surgery focus
* Focus on lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies
* Emphasis on minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical techniques
* Join a team of 3 cardiothoracic surgeons
* Practice at a Level I Trauma Center
* Opportunity for clinical research through an academic affiliation
Qualifications
* Board Certified or Board Eligible
* U.S.-trained
* U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
* Minimum 5 years of experience in robotic-assisted thoracic surgery
Practice Highlights
* Multidisciplinary approach to complex thoracic and oncology patients
* Perform thoracoscopic and robotic lung resections, esophageal oncology procedures, and mediastinal surgery
* Established cardiothoracic program performing:
* 500+ open-heart surgeries annually
* 100+ TAVR procedures annually
* 300+ general thoracic cases annually
* Established ECMO program
* Large tertiary hospital with 1,133 licensed beds
* Adult Level I Trauma Center
* Adult Burn Center
* Comprehensive cardiovascular services, including 24/7 cardiac catheterization capabilities
