Located in Dayton, OH - Cincinnati 55m
Full-time, permanent position
Position Overview
* Full-time, hospital-employed Thoracic Surgery opportunity
* 100% Thoracic Surgery practice
* Practice across 2 hospital locations in the Dayton area
* 4 OR days and 1 clinic day per week
* Dedicated surgical volume with opportunity for continued program growth
* Call shared with 4 Cardiothoracic Surgeons
* Cardiac surgical emergencies covered by Cardiothoracic Surgery partners
* Experienced physicians and new graduates encouraged to apply
* H-1B visa sponsorship available; J-1 sponsorship not available
Qualifications
* MD or DO degree
* Board Certified or Board Eligible
* Completion of a 6-year integrated Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency or General Surgery Residency followed by a 2–3-year Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency
* Eligible for an Ohio medical license
* Strong surgical and clinical skills
* Collaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care
Practice Highlights
* Established Cardiothoracic Surgery program with 4 physician partners
* Approximately 600 open-heart surgeries performed annually across the broader program
* Incoming surgeon will focus exclusively on Thoracic Surgery
* Dedicated OR time with clinic conveniently located within the hospital
* Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system
* Ion robotic bronchoscopy platform
* Access to TAVR, MitraClip, and ECMO programs
* APP support in clinic, surgery, and inpatient rounding
* Experienced OR teams
* 24/7 Critical Care support
* Extensive Primary Care and specialty referral network
